Yes, that's exactly what I'm interested in as well: Landed and returned using AP. A first hand account would be great, so far people have only pointed to indirect references, which I'm not saying is useless, but like I said, first hand details would be the best...

If I simplify the whole attitude of IV members; it would be "EB3 is hopeless; EB2 doesn't need any help".
The way the whole EB GC stands now, EB2 folks do not need any additional help. The dates are moving relatively fast. In a year or two most of the EB2 folks will get GC. So why spend money and time in IV efforts?
As far as EB3 folks are considered, we have no hope. CIR is dead; piecemeal efforts are opposed by CHC. IV has never shown much interest in piecemeal efforts, despite the fact that what ever little efforts have resulted in enormous positive results.

If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.
Actually, it was an exceptional situation. As you are well aware of, we had to get an unanimous consent if the skil bill were to pass in the LD, so, we needed to have Session's approval. To deflect the situation, he just said that his office hadnt received any positive comments.. When we ended up jamming his phones and gave all the positive comments, what came out of that, nuthing.. he did not budge from his stance.. It was just a ploy and even if the entire US of A had called him, he would not have changed his stance.. He had to score brownie points from his supporters. He knows that the Skil bill will be passed next year, and may be some form of CIR even.. He can then blame it on the democrats and stand for re-election in 2009 with complete support from his supporters..
Its all a gimmick for votes. This is politics, same thing in every country, just more sophisticated here...

I am quite sure FP is not requested for paper based filing. FP for you is misleading.

In the letter it mentioned I-485. I can't figure out what's going on. Its over 90 days since I filed everything and I thought usually you receive EAD within 90 days.
I was happy as I thought I'll be receive EAD soon since I did FP. Oh Well. I'm currently on H4 and have been out of work since last Dec and its becoming very hard living on one salary.

I called senator's offices. One senator's voice mail box is full. I will call them again Monday. Another senator's office directed me to their Atlanta office. Here they handle individual cases only. So the staffer said their is no point in my driving there and meeting them in person. But the staffer gave me his direct e-mail id and asked me to mail him the issues, views, suggestions etc. He assured me that he would forward it to DC office and would make certain that someone calls me from the DC office and hears my views.
I am going to send him detailed mail tonight. Any suggestions? I will keep following up with another senator too.

Its better to use rental car, as i did landing on june30, 2008 and the canadian customs asked me to either transfer the car or take it back to USA.

I also want USCIS to count my legal presence in the US prior to obtaining permanent residency (GC) for naturalization purposes. (Canada does this - 50% credit for time spent legally before obtaining permanent residency).

I had taken an infopass appointment after filing an SR. All the IO said was I should call NSC. I don't think the IO's at the local USCIS office can issue FP notices.
Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

Sent on Jun 29th. I don't know when it has reached. My dates were available in June. I am hoping it should have reached Jun 30th.
Anyone know if they accept packages on Saturday?
I'm in very similar situation. My dates were available for June as well. My HR/Attorneys did this long and painful bureaucratic process. We have an internal website which says that my case was �filed� on Jun-29th. Don�t know what the fuck that means. Whether it was sent on 29th or received on 29th? Couldn�t get HR to answer.Don�t have direct communication lines with Attorneys... If it�s sent on 29th, does USCIS take packages on Saturday or Sunday? If they take only on Monday, will they throw it out because it reached in July? Oh well, just have to wait and see...
